I saw a similar project where homeless people (in York Region? Not sure) were given disposable cameras to take pictures of their everyday lives. It had quite an emotional impact on folks who didn't think that poverty and homelessness was a problem in York Region. That's part of my goal with some of the work that I do, that by raising awareness, it will hopefully result in a little more understanding and kindness. Thx for your comment Sophia! It was very powerful. People were moved, shocked and became more cognizant of the reality of people's lives in their neighbourhood.
